Châteaux 19
The most requested format, and the most demanding in terms of light: bright façades that blow out in full sun, dark salons at dinner time, grand staircases where everyone wants their photo. We always scout the two or three spots that hold up whatever the weather before the day begins.
Estates 13
Estates with on-site cottages completely change the pace of a reportage: both getting-ready sessions are a short walk apart, nobody chases a car, and the evening can stretch without a curfew. That is where we get the most in-between images, the ones nobody thought to ask for.
Abbeys, manors & farms 5
Stone, exposed beams, wide doors open onto the countryside. These venues give the finest late-afternoon light around, the kind that comes in horizontally through barn doors. That is the half hour not to miss, and it is planned: we know when it falls at each of these places.
One-of-a-kind venues 4
Racecourse, orangery, museum, seaside: settings no château can imitate, each with its own constraint (permits, public, tide, wind). When a couple picks a venue like this, scouting happens beforehand, not on the day.
