You are planning a wedding in France and you want it photographed by someone who feels the day rather than stages it. I am Jean-Baptiste, JB, a French photographer and filmmaker. For over a decade I have followed couples from getting-ready to the last dance, in châteaux, vineyards and quiet village halls, capturing the day as it truly unfolds.

Marrying abroad is a leap of faith. You are trusting a place you may have visited once, and a photographer you have only met on a screen. My job is to make that leap feel effortless: to know the venue before you arrive, to speak both languages of the day, and to hand you images that feel exactly like the France you fell in love with.

Planned from Japan, shot in France: Lisa & Hiroya
A destination wedding can be organised entirely from abroad. Lisa and Hiroya live in Japan: we exchanged by email in English, held one video call at noon in France and 7 pm for them, and received the hotel's photo rules in advance (which terraces, staircases and rooms we could use). On the day, at 1 pm, Lisa wrote "We are in the room now!" and the session began.
