Cinema approach: emotional storytelling, rhythmic editing, cinematic colour grading. In Compiègne, I adapt to each venue's constraints — dim church lighting, harsh outdoor sun, neon evening. My goal: a film you'll want to rewatch 20 years from now.
Drone capture (DJI Mini 3 Pro) wherever permitted. Aerial shots of the venue, procession, first dance — instant cinematic feel for outdoor settings like those in the area (Château de Compiègne, Forêt de Compiègne, Clairière de l'Armistice).

The signature venue
Compiègne and its imperial surroundings are among the best video playgrounds in the Oise: Château de Compiègne (former royal palace, Napoleon III's favourite residence), 14,400-hectare state forest, Château d'Aramont, 12th-century Abbaye de Chiry-Ourscamp, Château de Quesmy, Institut Charles Quentin in Pierrefonds. Drone is authorised on most estates, and the forest offers aerial shots unique in France.

Seen and lived in Compiègne
Chloé and Allan prepared their wedding with us for three years, and on 9 May 2026 it all happened at the Domaine du Bois Saint Mard in Tracy-le-Val, north-east of Compiègne: getting dressed in two of the estate's cottages, a secular ceremony at 4 pm, the evening on site. Sylvain was filming, I was on photography. A second camera recorded the whole ceremony in a wide shot, and the witnesses had prepared several surprises: we stayed on the alert all evening. The final film runs a quarter of an hour.
Malik and Inès's wedding on 4 March 2023: Compiègne town hall at 11:30 am, couple photos and footage at the Abbaye d'Ourscamp, then the reception at the Château de Quesmy. On top of the film, a long version had been ordered as a surprise for the bride, with an instruction spelled out in our schedule: say nothing to her. In the evening every course came with a change of dress, so many sequences to follow without breaking the rhythm of the meal.
Roxane and Vincent spent the whole day in one place on 5 September 2026: getting dressed, a secular ceremony at 4:30 pm and an evening until one in the morning at the Château de Sainte-Claire in Berneuil-sur-Aisne, east of Compiègne. No travel, so time for what mattered to them: seeing each other for the first time at the ceremony, the images with their two children, then couple sequences at 7:45 pm in the light of the park. They received a clip of nearly eight minutes, three quarters of an hour of speeches and the rushes.

Do we need both a photographer and a videographer, or can one person do both?
Both are possible and we do both. Solo means alternating: while filming you are not photographing, and vice versa. That is enough for a hundred-guest wedding with a simple running order, and it costs less. As a duo, each person holds their post and nothing is missed during moments that never happen twice: walking into the church, the vows, the first dance. Our photo and video duo package is offered at a discount compared with booking both separately.
Can we see recent films before booking?
Of course — a portfolio with 3-4 full films matching your style (cinema, artistic, classic) is sent. You can also browse our Vimeo and reviews (122 testimonials on Google).
What's your typical coverage duration?
From morning preparations through the first dance on average. Depending on the package, we can wrap at dinner or stay until the end. It's defined upfront based on your timeline.
What video deliverables do we receive?
A 30-second to 2-minute cinematic teaser (often delivered before the film), a 5 to 8 minute clip, a 15+ minute edited wedding film with optional voiceover, and long takes on request. Everything is delivered in 4K via a private downloadable gallery.
Do you use a drone for aerial shots?
Yes — certified pilot, Mavic 3 cinema drone. Aerial shots often open the teaser and complement couple sequences. Subject to venue authorization and weather (wind < 30 km/h).
Can I choose the music for the film?
Yes — you suggest 3-5 tracks you love, we propose an edit that matches the mood. We use legal music licenses (Musicbed, Artlist) so you can publish on YouTube or Vimeo without risk.
What does a wedding cameraman cost?
Cameraman, videographer or wedding filmmaker mean the same job in everyday language, with one nuance: a cameraman shoots, a videographer designs and edits the film. Our wedding video packages start at €1,080, editing included and the film delivered within four weeks. Booked as a duo with photography, the video is -20% and both reportages start at €1,944. The French market ranges from €1,200 to €2,500 depending on coverage length and crew size. A markedly lower rate usually hides editing billed separately or filming without sound mixing.
What does a wedding videographer actually do?
They capture what photography cannot keep: sound. The voice during the vows, the best man's speech, the room laughing, the music of the first dance. In practice they scout the venue, fit discreet microphones on key speakers, film the day without directing it, then edit everything with clean sound mixing. Editing is as much work as filming: it is what turns eight hours of rushes into a five-to-eight-minute clip and a film of over fifteen minutes people watch again.
