What does a wedding cameraman cost?
Cameraman, videographer or wedding filmmaker mean the same job in everyday language, with one nuance: a cameraman shoots, a videographer designs and edits the film. Our wedding video packages start at €1,080, editing included and the film delivered within four weeks. The French market ranges from €1,200 to €2,500 depending on coverage length and crew size. What does a wedding videographer actually do?
They capture what photography cannot keep: sound. The voice during the vows, the best man's speech, the room laughing, the music of the first dance. In practice they scout the venue, fit discreet microphones on key speakers, film the day without directing it, then edit everything with clean sound mixing. Editing is as much work as filming: it is what turns eight hours of rushes into a six-to-ten-minute film people watch again.
