Les Grandes Écuries du XVIIIe siècle, avec leurs façades en pierre de taille et leurs toits en ardoise, offrent un arrière-plan architectural rare où aucune ligne n'est répétée sur 150 mètres de long.

History of Domaine de Chantilly
Le Domaine de Chantilly couvre 7 830 hectares répartis sur 15 communes de l'Oise et du Val-d'Oise. Le château actuel a été reconstruit entre 1875 et 1882 par l'architecte Honoré Daumet pour Henri d'Orléans, duc d'Aumale, au coût de 5,36 millions de francs. Le parc à la française avait été dessiné au XVIIe siècle par André Le Nôtre pour le Grand Condé. En 1886, sans héritier direct, le duc d'Aumale lègue l'intégralité du domaine à l'Institut de France. Le Musée Condé ouvre ses portes au public le 17 avril 1898. Le site est classé depuis 1960 et inscrit au titre des monuments historiques en 1988.
