History of Château d'Auvilliers
Le château d'Auvilliers, situé à Neuilly-sous-Clermont dans l'Oise, fut reconstruit au début du XVIIe siècle pour Jacques de Monsures et Charlotte de Fautereau sur des fondations du XVe siècle. Le porche d'entrée, assemblage rare de brique et de silex, témoigne de la tradition constructive picarde de l'époque. Inscrit à l'inventaire des Monuments Historiques le 13 avril 1933, le domaine comprend également une chapelle incluse dans le mur d'enceinte, accessible directement depuis le parc planté d'arbres centenaires.

De profil devant les panneaux sculptés, la lumière du foyer joue sur les reliefs et produit un portrait en clair-obscur sans éclairage additionnel.
