The spot that lifts every selfie
La rotonde circulaire élevée en 1865, avec ses fenêtres à meneau s'erraient sur la façade est, crée un cadre en ogive naturel : photographier les mariés dos à cette travée en contre-plongée produit un encadrement en pierre appareillée qui isole le couple du reste de la composition. En lumière rasante de fin d'après-midi, la balustrade dorique de la façade sud projette des ombres rythmées au sol — un sol clair propice aux reflets chauds.

Après le dîner, vers 21 h 30 : l'orangerie de 500 m² orientée sud retient la chaleur ambiante et sa lumière artificielle homogène évite les halos parasites sur les tirages. La borne installée côté terrasse de 300 m² bénéficie d'un ciel encore teinté en été.

History of Château de Flixecourt
Construit vers 1820 par Marie-Auguste de Crocquoison sur les ruines d'une résidence pillée à la Révolution, le domaine prend sa forme actuelle en 1865 quand Alexandre Hesse commande une aile nouvelle à l'architecte Delforterie, signant un éclectisme à dominante Louis XIII. La façade sud abritait alors un double escalier en fer à cheval formant un cœur au centre, inspiré de Fontainebleau, que la famille Hesse associait à un geste d'amour conjugal. Bombardé durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, cet escalier disparaît. Le domaine de 11 hectares est inscrit partiellement aux Monuments Historiques depuis 1980, avec une protection étendue au parc et aux jardins en 2013. Antoine Denis en prend possession en 2017 et le rouvre comme lieu de réception.
